📜 What is Qurbani (Udhiyah)?
Qurbani (also called Udhiyah) is the ritual sacrifice of an animal during Eid al-Adha, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. It is a confirmed Sunnah (highly recommended) for those who can afford it.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The son of Adam does not perform any deed on the Day of Sacrifice more beloved to Allah than shedding blood [Qurbani]. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns, hair, and hooves, and the blood is accepted by Allah before it falls on the ground. So give it up with a joyful heart.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi)
Eligibility: Qurbani is required for every Muslim who possesses the Nisab (threshold of wealth) during the days of Eid al-Adha (10th-12th Dhul Hijjah).

🌟 The Spiritual Reward of Qurbani
The Prophet ﷺ said: “For every hair of the Qurbani animal, you receive a reward from Allah.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
And: “Whoever has the means but does not perform Qurbani, let him not approach our place of prayer.” (Sunan Ibn Majah — Hasan)
By performing Qurbani, you follow the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), feed the hungry, and earn rewards that multiply with every hair of the sacrificed animal. This is worship that transforms lives — yours and theirs.
“I’ve done Qurbani online with Charity and Hope for 3 years. Last Eid, I received photos of the family who received my sheep — children smiling, holding meat packages, with GPS coordinates confirming the location. Knowing my Qurbani reached those who truly needed it brought me immense peace.”
— Yusuf K., London, UK • Qurbani Donor since 2023
