Rooted in Africa.
Driven by Hope.
From a single meal programme serving 50 people in North Cameroon to transforming over 500,000 lives across 15 nations — this is our journey, and yours.

We Build Communities.
Not Dependence.
Founded in 2010, Charity & Hope is a registered non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through sustainable, community-driven solutions. We work with the most vulnerable populations — women, children, and displaced families — across the Lake Chad basin and 15 African nations.
Our philosophy is rooted in long-term impact over short-term relief. By tackling root causes and co-designing solutions with local leaders, we empower communities to become fully self-sufficient and resilient.
Through programmes like monthly "Selfless Saturday" outreach, our mobile healthcare clinics, and our Generosity Women initiative, we restore dignity while creating lasting opportunity.
Six Pillars of Lasting Change
Every programme we run addresses a root cause of poverty — not just its symptoms.
Clean Water
Borehole wells, rainwater systems and purification units across the Lake Chad basin. $2,500 provides clean water for 500+ people for decades.
Education
School construction, teacher training, and scholarships for thousands of children denied access to quality learning.
Healthcare
Mobile clinics, vaccination drives, and maternal health programmes reaching remote communities where hospitals don't exist.
Women's Empowerment
Our Generosity Women programme provides health education, vocational training, microloans, and leadership pathways.
Homeless & Food Security
Weekly Selfless Saturday outreach: hot meals, hygiene services, and essential supplies for homeless populations.
Sustainable Development
Agricultural training, microfinance and vocational programmes that turn short-term aid into long-term economic independence.
Fourteen Years of Impact
From a single outreach in North Cameroon to a continent-spanning organisation — every year brought new milestones.
Foundation
Alim Bouba launches the first homeless outreach in North Cameroon, serving meals to 50 people every week with zero external funding.
First Clean Water Wells
Expansion to three communities. The first borehole well project provides clean water access to 2,000 people in rural Cameroon.
Lake Chad Basin Expansion
Comprehensive water initiatives extended to the Lake Chad basin, impacting over 10,000 people across Chad and northern Nigeria.
Education for All
First school built and operational. Scholarship programme launched for 200 children — 70% girls from households below the poverty line.
Mobile Hygiene Innovation
Launch of the pioneering mobile shower trailer programme, delivering 5,000 dignity-restoring hygiene sessions annually to homeless populations.
Generosity Women Programme
Landmark women's empowerment initiative launched: health education and economic pathways for 1,200 women in Year 1. Now reaching 15,000+ annually.
15 Nations. 500K+ Lives.
Operations now span 15 African countries. Over half a million lives measurably improved. 98% program efficiency maintained throughout growth.
Our Impact in Numbers
Independent audits confirm every metric. 98 cents of every dollar reaches programs directly.

Born and raised in North Cameroon, Alim Bouba experienced first-hand the devastating impact of poverty, lack of clean water, and inaccessible education on communities he loved. In 2010, with no external backing, he began distributing meals to 50 homeless people every week.
Under his leadership, that single act of generosity has grown into a continent-spanning organisation that has touched over half a million lives across 15 nations. His innovation — like the mobile shower programme now replicated across West Africa — has become a model for dignified humanitarian work worldwide.
"We don't believe in temporary solutions. Our mission is to empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty through education, opportunity, and dignity — and then never look back."
— Alim Bouba, FounderWhat Guides Every Decision We Make
Three principles have shaped every programme, every partnership, and every dollar spent since 2010.
Community First
No programme launches without deep consultation with the people it will serve. Local leaders co-design every project to ensure cultural fit and community ownership from day one.
Radical Transparency
Every donor receives detailed impact reports. Our 98% programme efficiency is independently verified. We publish our financials fully because trust is non-negotiable.
Sustainable by Design
We don't measure success by the aid delivered — we measure it by when communities no longer need it. Every project is designed for handover and long-term self-sufficiency.
Be Part of Africa's
Next Chapter
