Sponsor a Teacher in Africa for $25/Month | Charity & Hope

50 $ / month

🎓 23 teachers currently unfunded — your $25 keeps one in the classroom
⚡ Limited spots this quarter

A qualified teacher earns $25 a month in rural Africa.
Without you, 40 children sit in an empty classroom.

Teacher dropout is the #1 reason African children lose access to education mid-year.
Low salaries force skilled teachers to abandon classrooms for day labour.
Your $25/month changes that — completely.

“When my salary stopped coming, I had to leave. 38 children had no teacher for 4 months. One donor changed that. Now I haven’t missed a day in 14 months.”

The classroom is full.
The teacher’s chair is empty.
$25/month keeps it filled — all year.

In rural Sub-Saharan Africa, a qualified teacher earns between $8 and $30 a month. When funding fails, teachers leave. Children lose months of schooling. Your monthly gift guarantees one teacher’s salary — uninterrupted.

The Hidden Crisis

The classroom exists. The books are there. The children showed up. The teacher didn’t.

Most conversations about African education focus on building schools. But the real bottleneck is teacher retention. Thousands of qualified teachers abandon classrooms every year — not because they don’t care, but because their $15–$30 salary arrives late, gets cut, or disappears when government funding collapses.

The result: children who were attending school are suddenly without a teacher for weeks, sometimes an entire term. Their parents pull them out. They rarely come back.

✝ For Faith-Driven Donors
“Train up a child in the way he should go.”
— Proverbs 22:6

Teaching is one of the most profound acts of service described in Scripture. A teacher shapes not just what a child knows, but who they become. By sponsoring a teacher’s salary, you are doing exactly what Jesus described: serving “the least of these” with your treasure.

This is stewardship with eternal returns. The knowledge a child gains lasts a lifetime — and a lifetime spent educated ripples through every generation that follows.

🏢 For Companies & Secular Donors
The highest-ROI investment
in the developing world.

The World Bank ranks teacher quality as the single highest-impact variable in education outcomes in low-income countries. Keeping a qualified teacher in a classroom generates an estimated $14 in economic value for every $1 invested — over the child’s lifetime.

“I’m not religious. I just believe education is the most powerful thing there is. $25 a month felt almost too small to matter. Then I got a photo of 38 kids holding up their test papers. I cried.”

FAQ

Everything you need to know

📌 How is the teacher selected?
We work with a network of vetted community schools across Mali, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Teachers are selected by local school directors based on qualification, dedication and financial need. Every teacher is background-checked and introduced to you by name before funding begins.
📌 Does 100% of my $25 go to the teacher’s salary?
Yes — 100% of your $25 is transferred directly as salary. Our operational costs are covered separately through restricted grants and corporate partnerships. You will never be asked to cover admin fees.
📌 What if the teacher leaves or the school closes?
If a teacher leaves our programme for any reason, we notify you within 7 days and immediately match you with a new teacher from the same country — no interruption in impact. In the rare event a school closes, your donation is redirected to an equivalent school and you are kept fully informed.
📌 Is this gift tax-deductible?
Yes. We are registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 82-1234567). Donors in the US, UK (Gift Aid), France, Belgium and Canada receive jurisdiction-appropriate receipts. Corporate donors receive a separate verified CSR certificate for their annual reporting.
📌 Can my church or company sponsor multiple teachers?
Absolutely. Many churches pool their small group giving to sponsor 2–10 teachers. Corporate donors can set up a multi-teacher sponsorship with a single monthly invoice. Contact us at [email protected] for a tailored package — including a custom CSR or congregational impact page.
📌 Can I cancel or pause my sponsorship?
Yes, at any time from your WooCommerce account dashboard. We ask for 30 days’ notice so we can find a replacement sponsor for your teacher without interruption. There are no penalties and no questions asked.
